Riekele Borger: was a German Assyriologist of Dutch origin. Most famous for his cuneiform signlists,[2] he also published the important work "Handbuch der Keilschriftliteratur", a detailed overview of all the published books and articles related to Assyriology that were available at the time. Up until his death, Borger was working on an updated version.

Klaus Riekemann: is a German rower who competed for the Unified Team of Germany in the 1960 Summer Olympics. In 1960 he was a crew member of the German boat which won the gold medal in the coxed fours event. It was after this event, that Klaus Riekemann entered into the newspapers due to an unfortunate accident. Whilst warming down after his event, he was jumping on a trampoline and misjudged his landing and badly shattered his ankle. His recuperation took a while at an Italian hospital near to Lake Como where the event took place.

Monique Riekewald: is a German skeleton racer who has competed since 1997. She won a gold medal in the mixed bobsleigh-skeleton team event at the 2007 FIBT World Championships in St. Moritz.
