Leoš Janácek: was a Czech composer, musical theorist, folklorist, publicist and teacher. He was inspired by Czech, Moravian and all Slavic folk music and on these roots created his original style.[1] His early work, created till 1895, is not systematic, he devoted himself mainly to the folkloristic activities. Janácek´s early output is also influenced by the music of other composers of that time, as Bedrich Smetana and Antonín Dvorák.[1] His original style matured in the cantata Amarus (1897) and particularly in the opera Jenufa, premiered in 1904 in Brno.
