Marek Eben: is a Czech actor, singer, composer, writer and television host. He studied music and drama at the Prague Conservatory.[1] His father, Petr Eben, was a composer.Eben currently hosts the Czech version of the show Dancing with the Stars, and his long-term work in Czech Television includes the talk-show "Na plovárne" (At the swimming-pool), where he invites celebrities from all over the world for a talk. With his two brothers (Kryštof and David), he formed a band "Bratri Ebenové" (Eben Brothers) in 1984, Marek being the writer, composer and singer. He also participates in the preparation of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. He is known for standing for his Christian beliefs and for his sense of humor and polite manners.[1]

Marek Kopelent: is a renowned Czech contemporary composer, who is considered to be at the forefront of the "New Music" movement.[1]In 1959 he discovered the compositional styles of the Second Viennese School and the European avant-garde movement, and integrated both forms into his new style. The first piece to come to the attention of the musical world outside of Czechoslovakia was his 3rd string quartet (1963), in large part due to the interpretation of the piece by the Novák Quartet which performed it in its concerts throughout Europe.
