Marc-Yvan Côté: is a former Quebec politician and Cabinet Minister for the Quebec Liberal Party. He was the Health and Social Services Minister in the Robert Bourassa government from 1989 to 1994. Cote's first stint in provincial politics lasted three years from 1973 to 1976 in which he was elected in Matane before losing his seat in the 1976 elections when the Parti Québécois rose to power for the first time ever. After losing his seat, Cote for the Liberals until he returned as MNA in Charlesbourg in a 1983 by-election. Re-elected in 1985 when the Liberals and Bourassa returned to power, Cote was named Minister of Transports until his-reelection in 1989. He was named the Minister of Health and Social Services and was in charge in following the recommendations made by the Rochon Commission for the improvement of the health and social services system.

Jacques Côté: was a politician and notary in Quebec, Canada. He was a Parti Québécois member of the National Assembly of Quebec for the electoral district of Dubuc from 1998 to 2008. Cote was an active member of the Parti Québécois since 1970 as he was a member of the executive council, the treasurer, the legal adviser and the vice-president and president of the party for the Dubuc riding. He was also part of the YES committee for the 1980 Quebec referendum on sovereignty. He was also involved in the economic development of the La Baie region in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, and the regional board of the Caisses Desjardins. He was first elected in the 1998 provincial election. He was Minister for Housing from January 30, 2002 until April 29, 2003. He was re-elected in the 2003 and 2007 elections. During his second mandate, he was named the assistant whip for the PQ until his retirement in 2008.

Jean Léon Côté: was a prominent Canadian politician. He served as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta from 1909 until 1923 sitting with the provincial Liberal party in both government and opposition. He vacated his provincial seat when he was appointed to the Senate of Canada in 1923. He served until his death in 1924 sitting with the federal Liberal caucus. Côté ran for a seat to the Alberta Legislature in the 1909 Alberta general election. He stood as the Liberal candidate in the electoral district of Athabasca defeating incumbent Liberal candidate William Bredin in a hotly contested race. Côté ran for a third term in office in the 1917 Alberta general election. He significantly increased his popular vote winning a landslide in the two way race. After the election Côté was appointed to a provincial cabinet post in 1918. He assumed the responsibility of the Provincial Secretary position, and held it until his government was defeated in 1921.

Louis Côté: was an Ontario lawyer and political figure. He represented Ottawa East in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario as a Progressive Conservative from 1929 to 1934 and was also a Conservative member of the Senate of Canada for Ottawa East division from 1933 to 1943.

Cyrille-Hector-Octave Côté: was a physician and political figure in Lower Canada. In 1834, he was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Lower Canada for L'Acadie and was a radical member of the parti patriote. Côté became a leader for the Patriote movement in his region and joined Les Fils de la Liberté. After a price was set on his head, he left for the United States. Although originally supporting Louis-Joseph Papineau, he now allied himself with Robert Nelson and helped prepare a declaration of independence for Lower Canada.
