Feng Mengbo: is a contemporary Chinese who works mainly in new media.He graduated from Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing. His interactive installation My Private Album was shown in Documenta X in 1997, and video game mod installation Q4U (produced by The Renaissance Society, based on Quake III Arena) was shown in Documenta 11 in 2002. Ah_Q is a dancing-pad version of Q4U won the Award of Distinction of Interactive Art, Prix Ars Electronica, 2004.

Feng Zhengjie            Origin/Culture/Country: Chinese

Feng Zhengjie: is an artist based in Beijing. Originally a high-school and college art teacher in Sichuan, he came to Beijing in 1995.His best-known work is his Portrait of China series, very large Warhol-style oil portraits, in a red/turquoise palette, of Chinese fashion model faces with vacant diverging eyes (his signature style). Critics view his work as a critique of contemporary consumer society[1] His early paintings were inspired by 1930s Shanghai posters. His more recent work is based on the red and green of traditional Chinese New Year art, the colours made "more acid, a representation of the flashy, commercial nature of modern China".[2]

Lei Feng: was a soldier of the People's Liberation Army in the People's Republic of China. After his death, Lei was characterised as a selfless and modest person who was devoted to the Communist Party, Chairman Mao Zedong, and the people of China. In 1963, he became the subject of a nationwide, posthumous propaganda campaign "Learn from Comrade Lei Feng" . Lei was portrayed as a model citizen, and the masses were encouraged to emulate his selflessness, modesty, and devotion to Mao. After Mao's death, Lei Feng remained a cultural icon representing earnestness and service; his name entered daily speech and his imagery appeared on t-shirts and memorabilia.

Te-Pei Feng            Origin/Culture/Country: Chinese

Te-Pei Feng: was a Chinese neuroscientist, physiologist, and educator. He is considered as one of founders of modern Chinese neuroscience and physiology. In 1929, Feng won the Boxer Rebellion Indemnity Scholarship Program at Tsinghua University. Feng went to United States to continue his study. Feng studied at the University of Chicago, under Ralph W. Gerard. Feng did research on nerve metabolism, and graduated in 1930 from UChicago with MSc. In 1934, Feng returned to Beiping (current Beijing), and worked again at Peking Union Medical College (PUMC) as a professor. In 1941, due to the Pacific War and the Japanese aggression in Beiping, the PUMC was closed, and Feng went to Chongqing, the wartime capital of China. In 1943, Feng became the acting director of the Medical Research Institute (preparatory) of Academia Sinica.[1] In 1945, invited by the British Council, Feng visited UK. In 1947, Feng was a Visiting Scholar at the Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research (current Rockefeller University) in New York City, NY, USA.
