He made his debut on 25 August 1934 in a league match against Dundee, which ended in a 3-2 defeat. He only made four appearances in that 1934-35 season. His first goal came a season later on 14 August 1935 against Albion Rovers.

Norman Boyd Kinnear: was a Scottish zoologist.Kinnear was the son of an Edinburgh architect and came from the same family as Sir William Jardine. While studying at Trinity College, Glenalmond, he worked as a voluntary assistant at the Royal Scottish Museum from 1905 to 1907. After a recommendation by William Eagle Clarke, he was Curator of the museum of the Bombay Natural History Society from November 1907 to 1919, as well as assistant editor of the Bombay Natural History Society Journal. In 1913 he married Gwendolen Beatrice Millard, whose family lived in India and was closely involved with the BNHS. (Walter Samuel Millard) In 1920 he became an assistant in the Department of Zoology at the Natural History Museum, becoming Keeper of Zoology in 1945, and Director of the Museum in August 1947. He retired on April 30, 1950 and was knighted in June of that year.

Dominic Kinnear: is a Scottish-born American former soccer player. He is currently the head coach of Houston Dynamo in Major League Soccer. As a player, he began his professional career with Scottish club St. Johnstone, and went on to play for several teams in the United States and Mexico, including the San Jose Hawks, San Jose Clash, Tampa Bay Mutiny and Necaxa. In 2001, first-time head coach of the San Jose Earthquakes, Frank Yallop, named Dominic Kinnear as his assistant coach. Together, they helped coach the Earthquakes to the MLS Cup in 2001 and 2003.

Joseph 'Joe' David Kinnear: was an Australian rules footballer who played with Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL) during the 1930s.
