Keith Robert Gillespie: a Northern Irish professional footballer who plays in midfield. He currently plays for Sheffield United of the English Football League Championship.His first years were spent in Islandmagee, County Antrim where he attended Whitehead Primary School. He later moved to Bangor, County Down where he attended Rathmore Primary School and Bangor Grammar School. He was scouted playing for St Andrews FC from Belfast, and was the first professional footballer to come from this club.

Aaron Roderick Gillespie: Aaron's mother had an interest in music, and he was around it his "whole life".[2] When Gillespie was 14, he was asked to drum for the band Underoath after former guitarist Luke Morton's father witnessed Gillespie playing drums in church. In 2002, the Underoath album The Changing of Times was released in which Gillespie began to add harmonic vocals to the songs. Eventually, when lead vocalist Dallas Taylor parted ways with the band, Underoath went through various changes in style, and by 2004, when They're Only Chasing Safety was released, Gillespie sang harmonic vocals to counter new lead vocalist Spencer Chamberlain.

Gary Thompson Gillespie: was a defender who played football (soccer) for Liverpool through much of their dominant period of the 1980s.Gillespie started his career at local club Falkirk, captaining the side at 17, making him the world's youngest ever first team captain in football. Such was his rapid progression as a player, only playing 22 Scottish League Second Division fixtures, he was purchased by Coventry City for the bargain price of £75,000 on the 10 March 1978 while still not quite 18.

James Gillespie: a Scottish footballer who played for Renton, Greenock Morton, Sunderland, Sunderland Albion, Third Lanark and the Scotland national team.Gillespie, an Outside Right, won a championship title with Sunderland in 1892-93 and scored a total of 47 goals in 129 appearances over 2 seasons. He had joined Sunderland after spells in Scotland with Renton and Greenock Morton. He moved to Sunderland's rivals Sunderland Albion in for a short period but returned to Roker Park in 1892.

Gregory Gillespie: was an American magic realist painter.In 1962 he received the first of two Fulbright-Hays grants, for travel to Italy to study the work of Masaccio. He lived and worked in Florence for two years, and in Rome for six years, studying the works of such Renaissance masters as Carpaccio, Mantegna, and Carlo Crivelli, who was a particular favorite of Gillespie.[1] During this time he was awarded three Chester Dale Fellowships and a Louis Comfort Tiffany grant, and in 1966 he had his first solo show, at the Forum Gallery in New York. He returned to the United States in 1970.
