Illana May: a South African singer-songwriter/guitarist.She was educated in Messina, (now known as Musina), South Africa at Eric Louw High School[Averaging over 180 live shows per year[2], she is the busiest female musician in South Africa. With 7 CDs and a DVD released[3], her music is popular across Southern Africa.Whilst performing a wide range of cover songs, she also produces her own original music with a distinct rock feel. She sings in English and Afrikaans, and performs music in the genres of rock, pop, country & western and R&B.

Rolando Illa: was a Cuban–Argentine chess master.He shared 1st with C.M. Portela at Buenos Aires 1917, took 2nd, behind L. Carranza, at Buenos Aires 1920, tied for 2nd-4th at Montevideo (Carrasco) 1921/22 (South American Championship, Roberto Grau won),[6] and took 5th at Buenos Aires 1922 (Pentagonal, Benito Villegas won). He thrice participated in the Argentine Championship: took 5th in 1921/22 (Damian Reca won), tied for 6-7th in 1923/24 and tied for 7-9th in 1924.

David Bar-Illan: was an internationally-acclaimed pianist, author and columnist. Héctor Eugenio Noguera Illanes: is a Chilean television, theatre and film actor, also is a theatre director. Héctor is best known for his telenovelas at TVN like "Sucupira", "Romané", "Pampa ilusión", and others. But in 2003, joined Canal 13 with Machos, a great success. He won the APES (Asociación de Periodistas de Espectáculos) award for "Best Actor" in 1996, 2000 and 2003 due to his roles in "Sucupira", "Romané" and "Machos" respectively. Now is part of Chilevisión where recorded "Sin Anestesia" (2009) and "Mujeres de Lujo" (2010).
Eric Illayapparachchi Origin/Culture/Country: Sri-Lankan
Eric Illayapparachchi: a Sinhalese writer and poet. He wrote the libretto for Agni, an opera composed by Premasiri Khemadasa which had its premiere on 26 May 2007 in Colombo. One of his short stories was made into a televison drama for the series Vinividimi Adura (Through the Darkness) on Sri Lanka's ITN network. Another of his short stories appears in an anthology of Sri Lankan stories in English translation (Ashley Halpe (ed.), A Lankan Mosaic, Three Wheeler Press).
