He is the most capped player in the history of the Blue Bulls.Throughout his career he played for only province, Northern Transvaal (now called the Blue Bulls). His first test was on 29 August 1981; he played the flanker position against All Blacks at Athletic Park, Wellington. His seventh and final test occurred on 2 September 1989 against a World Invitation side at Ellispark, in Johannesburg.
