Alida Valli: sometimes simply credited as Valli, was an Italian actress.At fifteen, she went to Rome, where she attended the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, a school for film actors and directors. Her first big success came with the movie Mille lire al mese. After many roles in a large number of comedies, she earned her success as dramatic actress in Piccolo mondo antico (1941), directed by Mario Soldati. During the Second World War, she starred in many movies, like Stasera niente di nuovo (1942) and Noi Vivi - Addio Kira! (1943) (based on Ayn Rand's novel, We the Living) and became a movie star.

Clayton Valli: was the author of numerous articles and books on linguistics and on American Sign Language poetry. He gave workshops and presentations across the country that raised awareness and appreciation for the movement, meter, and rhythm in ASL poetry. His own poetic works, which have drawn international recognition for their aestheticism and contribution to literary scholarship, are available on video, taped both by him and by other ASL artists.A frequent visitor and presenter in the Rochester area, Valli gave several workshops on ASL poetry at the University of Rochester. He also visited classes and was a keynote presenter at the Second National ASL Literature Conference, which was held at the University in 1996.

Éric Valli: is a French photographer and film director. Valli spent most of his career as a geographical photographer working for the National Geographic Magazine and The Sunday Times[citation needed] capturing more inaccessible locations in the world on camera. He specializes in mountain scenery and is an expert on the Himalaya Mountains, and in 1999 directed the adventure film Himalaya about survival in the Himalayas starring Thilen Londup which became the first Nepalese film to be nominated for a Best Foreign Film Award at the Oscars.
