Yu Hua: is a Chinese author. He studied dentistry but soon decided to write fiction in 1983 because it allowed him to be more creative and flexible. He grew up during the Cultural Revolution so many of his stories and novels are marked by this experience. His early work can be compared with a nightmarish vision of a visit to the dentist: sadistic and brutal. Yu Hua has so far written three novels, six collections of stories, and three collections of essays. His most important novels are called Chronicle of a Blood Merchant and To Live. The latter novel was adapted for film by Zhang Yimou. Because the film was banned in China, it instantly made the novel a bestseller and Yu Hua a worldwide celebrity. His novels have been translated into English, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Spanish, Swedish, Japanese, Korean and Malayalam.

Phra Bat Somdet Phra Poramintharamaha Prajadhipok: was the seventh monarch of Siam under the House of Chakri. He was the last absolute monarch and the first constitutional monarch the country. His reign was a turbulent time for Siam due to huge political and social changes during the Revolution of 1932. Also he was the only Siamese monarch to abdicate.

Phra Bat Somdet Phra Poramentharamaha Vajiravudh P: was the sixth monarch of Siam under the House of Chakri, ruling from 1910 until his death. Vajiravudh is known for his efforts to create and promote Siamese nationalism. His reign was characterized by Siam's movement further towards democracy and minimal participation in World War I.Crown Prince Vajiravudh returned to Siam in 1902 and became a monk temporarily according to Siamese traditions in 1904. In 1906, his father Chulalongkorn traveled to Europe to cure his lung disease. Chulalongkorn made Vajiravudh the regent of Siam. Crown Prince Vajiravudh accomplishment during his regency was his supervision of the construction of Chulalongkorn Equesterian Statue.

Jiang Hua: was a Chinese politician and President of the Supreme People's Court of China.Jiang Hua was born in Jianghua, Hunan. He was the First Secretary of the Communist Party of China in Zhejiang, and was the President of the Supreme People's Court from 1975 to 1983. He was largely visible during the sentencing of the Gang of Four.
