Zygmunt Balicki: was a Polish sociologist, publicist and one of the first chief activists and ideologues of the right-wing National Democracy political camp.[1]His book Egoizm narodowy wobec etyki (National Egoism and Ethics) published first in 1903 was one of the central texts of nascent National Democratic movement.[2] Balicki argued that the individual should fuse spiritually with his society and adopt its desires and goals as his own.[3] He rejected altruism, ideals and ethics of the romantic literature as "abstract" and "naive".

Zygmunt Henryk Berling: was a Polish general and politician. He fought for the independence of Poland in the early 20th century. During Second World War he was sentenced to death in absentia for desertion from the Polish Army of General Wladyslaw Anders. Later he became the commander of the 1st Polish Army, part of the Polish Army in the USSR and played an important role in the post-war Polish government.

Marek was a chief editor of Wiezien polityczny (Politician prisoner) and Naprzód (Forward) newspapers during World War I. In 1919, after Poland regained independence after years of partitions, he joined united Polish Socialist Party (PPS).

Zygmunt Modzelewski: was a Polish communist politician.He was a member of the Social Democracy of the Kingdom of Poland and Lithuania and Communist Party of Poland. From 1923 to 1937 he was a member of the French Communist Party and even joined its Central Committee. From 1937 in Soviet Union; he joined the Union of Polish Patriots, Central Bureau of Polish Communists and became the first director of Polpress, a precursor to the Polish Press Agency. Later he joined the Polish Workers' Party and Polish United Workers' Party, in which he eventually became the member of its Central Committee. He was also a member of the Polish Council of State and a deputy to the State National Council and Legislative Sejm.
