Yoshio Yatsu: a Japanese politician of the Liberal Democratic Party, a member of the House of Representatives in the Diet (national legislature). A native of Tatebayashi, Gunma and graduate of Hosei University, he was elected to the first of his three terms in the assembly of Gunma Prefecture in 1975 and to the House of Representatives for the first time in 1986. After losing his seat in 1990, he was re-elected in the same year. From 2000 to 2001 he served as the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.

Yoshio Mikami: was a Japanese mathematician and wasan historian. He was born February 16, 1875 in Takana, Hiroshima prefecture. He attended the High School of Tohoku University, and in 1911 was admitted to Imperial University of Tokyo. He studied history of Japanese and Chinese mathematics. In 1913, he published "The Development of Mathematics in China and Japan" in Leipzig.[1] This book consisted of two parts with 47 chapters. Part one has 21 chapters that describe in depth several important Chinese mathematicians and mathematical classics including Liu Hui, Shen Kuo, Qin Jiushao, Sun Tzu, The Nine Chapters on the Mathematical Art, Mathematical Treatise in Nine Sections, Li Ye, Zhu Shijie and study on p. Part II deals with important wasan mathematicians and their works, including Kambei Mori, Yoshida Koyu, Kowa Seki, Imamura Chisho, Takahara Kisshu, Kurushima, Ajima Chokuyen, Aida Ammei, Shiraishi Chochu, Skabe Kohan, and Hagiwara Teisuke.

Toshiki Yoshioka: a Japanese professional drifting driver, currently competing in the D1 Grand Prix series for Team DRoo-P and Yamasa.Even before he started drifting professionally he always used the Toyota AE86. He first competed in the D1 Grand Prix in the first round of 2002 and has always scored points in every season. He got his first victory in Round 4 of the 2005 season at Autopolis. His Toyota Sprinter Trueno is very fast as it is normally aspirated and uses nitrous oxide, this leads to him being feared by the other competitors and also many crashes. In 2007 he had an average season being best of the AE86 drivers, finishing in 8th place overall. In 2008 he has switched from his trusty AE86 to a Lexus SC430 prepared by renown tuning garage Tom's, now he just has to get used to the new machine.
