Wlodzimierz Ksiazek: is a contemporary artist based in New England, and since 2001 works from a 6000 sq. ft. studio in Rhode Island. He is best known for his large-scale abstract paintings.His works are abstract. He uses oil paints and encaustic painting on large canvasses to build up layers with thin washes and impastos, then scratches, splatters, gouges and picks at the paint to create incised geometric forms and lines.[3][2] His works take up to six months to complete,[3] and are usually untitled.

Wlodzimierz Jacek Papla: is a Polish graphic artist and painter, a director of the Institute of Fine Arts at the University of Zielona Góra.Papla, who graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan in 1976, is an exhibiting artist since 1975. He took part in numerous leading national and international shows, and in 1985 was awarded the Stanislaw Wyspianski Prize for the Young Artists.[1] Papla is the president of Stowarzyszenie Polskich Artystów Malarzy i Grafików "Wielkopolska".

Wlodzimierz Kuperberg: is a professor of mathematics at Auburn University, with research interests in geometry and topology.Although much of Kuperberg's early mathematical work is in topology, he is best known today for his work in geometry, and in particular on packing and covering problems. His first paper in this area (1982) showed that the ratio of packing density to covering density of any convex body in the plane is at least 3/4. His 1990 paper with his son Greg provides the best lower bound known at that time for packing densities of arbitrary two-dimensional convex bodies; with Bezdek (1990) he calculated the exact packing density of the cylinder, which prior to Hales' 1998 solution of the Kepler conjecture was the first nontrivial calculation of the packing density of any three-dimensional convex body.
