In 1952 he received his doctorate, with further advancement in his professorial degrees in 1959, 1967, and 1979.He first worked as a teacher's assistant and adjunct at Kraków's Akademia Górniczo-Hutnicza (through 1949), and later at the Cracow University of Technology as an adjunct (1954-1959), a docent (1959-1967), and finally as a full-fledged professor, 1967 onwards. Between the years of 1962-1967 he was the dean of the Faculty of Architecture there. From 1962 he headed The Institute of Architectural History and Landmark Conservation.

Wiktor Grodecki: is a Polish film director, screenwriter and producer known for making films and documentaries dealing with young male prostitution and exploring the life of hustlers in various countries (Czech Republic, UK, US, Germany and Lithuania).In 1997,he made the controversial movie Mandragora which is a dramatic story about a young guy cognizing the world of prostitution, drugs and AIDS. The film won numerous awards and was seen by Vaclav Havel, who wrote a letter to congratulate Grodecki personally.[citation needed]

Wiktor Budzynski: was an ethnic Polish politician, active in the interbellum period in the Republic of Lithuania. He was the leader of Polish minority in Lithuania, also between 1924 and 1927 a deputy to the Seimas, elected from the district of Kaunas.Budzynski attended schools in Marijampole and Riga, where he graduated in 1907. Between 1907 and 1911 he studied at Krakow's Jagiellonian University, then returned to his native village and managed a farm. During World War I, he was evacuated to Mohylew, where took care of Polish refugees. After the war Budzynski returned to Lithuania and was elected to the Parliament. Also, from 1924 to 1935 he was the director of Association of Poles in Lithuania Pochodnia. After 1935 he withdrew from social activities.
