Tetsuya Utsumi: a Nippon Professional Baseball player in Japan's Central League. A lefthanded pitcher, Utsumi is one of the better starters in the Yomiuri rotation. He garnered international attention in the 2008 preseason during an exhibition against the Boston Red Sox, who were playing exhibitions against the Giants and Hanshin Tigers. As the game's starting pitcher for the home Giants, Utsumi surprised all by striking out 4 out of the 6 Red Sox batters he faced. He had worked for Tokyo Gas from 2000 to 2003.

Tetsuya Yamaguchi: a Nippon Professional Baseball player for the Yomiuri Giants in Japan's Central League. He was playing in the Missoula Osprey(Advanced Rookie level under Arizona Diamondbacks) before he was drafted by Giants in 2005.He was awarded as Central League's Rookie of thr Year in 2008, beating his teammate and another award favourite Hayato Sakamoto, by finishing with a 11-2 with 67 appearances, the most wins of all-time in Giant's relief pitchers. He was then selected to the National team playing in 2009 World Baseball Classic, being the only relief pitcher (other than closers) selected by the National team.

Tetsuya Ota: a racecar driver from Maebashi in the Gunma Prefecture, Japan. He is notable for surviving a fiery multi-car pileup he was involved in during a JGTC race at Fuji Speedway on May 3, 1998, caused by a safety car who sped twice over the recommended speed in torrential rain during a parade lap. Ota became seriously injured and as a result, he subsequently brought a lawsuit against the race organizers.
