Takeo Arishima: was a novelist, short-story writer and essayist during the late Meiji and Taisho periods. His two younger brothers, Ikuma Arishima (?????) and Ton Satomi (????) were also authors.After he graduated from the Gakushuin at age 19, he entered the Sapporo Agricultural College (the present-day Faculty of Agriculture at Hokkaido University). During his studies at the university, he attempted suicide with Kokichi Morimoto (?????). The suicide failed, and Arishima subsequently became influenced by Uchimura Kanzo and became a Christian in 1901. Morimoto later went on to establish several women's schools around Japan.

Takeo's other pupils include Arimura Hiroshi, Tominaga Takeshi, and Yamada Takuji.

He challenged for the Oza title, the sixth largest in Japan, in 1964. A year later in 1965, he led a group of players to China, where he helped develop the Chinese fuseki. He is an assenter of "The Truth about Nanjing(movie)."Takeo Hiranuma was adopted by his mother's grandfather's younger brother, Kiichiro Hiranuma, with his father and mother (all family together). Kiichiro Hiranuma was Prime Minister of Japan until 30 August 1939, and, had no wife nor biological children.Hiranuma attended Keio University and worked in the private sector for eleven years until moving to served as an aide for Ichiro Nakagawa and Eisaku Sato. He then ran for a seat in the House of Representatives twice and failed, until he was finally elected in 1980 as a member of Japan's Liberal Democratic Party.
