Piotr Ozarowski: was a Polish noble (szlachcic), politic and military commander. Member of the infamous Confederation of Targowica, he reached the offices of Great Crown Hetman and castellan of Wojnice.Early supporter of king Stanislaw August Poniatowski, he disapproved of his more liberal policies and threw his lot with the pro-Russian conservative faction. From 1789 he was recruited by Russian ambassador to Poland, Otto Magnus von Stackelberg. From Stackelberg he received a yearly pension from Russia (2000 ducats). He joined the Confederation of Targowica which was opposed to the reforms of the Great Sejm (particularly the Constitution of the 3 May).

Piotr Chmielowski: was a Polish philosopher, literary historian and critic.[1]Chmielowski was the outstanding student and critic of literature during Poland's Positivist period. He advocated social utilitarianism in literature, and the realistic treatment of social reality. As a historian he was influenced by the philosophical and esthetic concepts of the French critic Hippolyte Taine, and studied the relations between writers' works and their social and cultural milieus, seeking the expressions of those relations chiefly in the works' ideological concerns.[4]

Piotr Marian Massonius: was a Polish philosopher and teacher who was born into a family of expatriates during the Partitions of Poland.Before Poland's return to independence, Massonius wrote for the Polish-language St. Petersburg weekly Kraj and contributed to the Polish-language periodicals Glos, Tygodnik Ilustrowany, Wisla, Gazeta Warszawska and Gazeta Polska. In 1897-1914 he served on the editorial board of Przeglad Filozoficzny (The Philosophical Review). In 1906 Massonius was elected to Russia's first National Duma. In 1906-14 he lectured at Warsaw's Flying University, and in 1920-32, as a professor he conducted courses in philosophy and pedagogy at Stefan Batory University in Vilnius, then part of the Second Polish Republic; in these, he focused on epistemology and aesthetics. He became dean of the Humanities Department there. His writings included a collection of philosophical essays, and Polish translations of Western philosophers such as Kant, Tardieu and Schopenhauer.[2]
