Olaf Malolepski: is the lead singer and guitarist for the German Schlager group, Die Flippers. He joined the group in 1967 replacing Manfred Hehl as the guitarist and backing vocalist. In 1984, after the departure of singer Roland Bausert, he also became the lead singer of the group, while still playing guitar.

He did not play many games under Berti Vogts due to a disagreement with the then manager of the German National Football Team, this meant he missed out on appearing at the 1994 Fifa World Cup and the 1992 European Football Championship and 1996 European Football Championship.

He became a key player for the team straight away and helped them to gain promotion to the Eredivisie for the following season, in which he made 30 appearances. In total he took part in 159 games for De Graafschap, scoring six goals, with the club permanently in the top flight. During the 1999-00 season, he left De Vijverberg to continue his career at AZ Alkmaar.

Olaf Rompelberg: a Dutch footballer who currently plays for Excelsior Veldwezelt. Rompelberg is a defender who was born in Heerlen and made his debut in professional football, being part of the Roda JC squad in the 2005-06 season.
