Nikolaos Vilaetis: was a chief of Pyrgos and a Greek politician. He descended from a famous family of Pyrgos in which he was one of the first who inhabited the area. He was the cousin of Yiannis and brother of Haralambos. He was the chief of Pyrgos and was elected as an attorney of Ilia in the First National Council, in December 1821, months after the start of the Greek War of Independence, he later entered politics.

Nikolaos Zorbas: was a Greek soldier, most notable as the nominal leader of the Military League which organized the Goudi coup in 1909. His family was from Magnesia in Asia Minor and he was born in Athens. After studying at the Military Academy, he finished his studies in France and Belgium. He fought during the Greco-Turkish War (1897), and in 1909, as a colonel, he was chosen as the leader of the clandestine Military League. After the League organized the Goudi coup in August 1909, he was appointed Minister of Military Affairs in the Stephanos Dragoumis government and retired in 1911.

Nikolaos Lavdas: was a Greek musician. He was the founder and director of the "Athenian Mandolinata," one of the oldest music associations and music schools in Greece.[1] As the director of the "Athenian Mandolinata" orchestra, he performed in the Olympic Games (1906), for the king of Italy Vittorio Emmanuele (1907) and for Kaiser Gulielm in Corfu's "Achilleion" (1910). The orchestra took the first prize in Kremona's international competition among 32 highly honoured orchestras. Some of his compositions for mandolin orchestra: "Greek overture", "Balos from Andros", "Cretan dance", "Varkarola", "Serenata", "Gertsita" etc. He wrote piano and vocal variations of Greek traditional music: "Voskopoula", "Tsopanakos", "Tria paidia Voliotika", "Ta matia sou Dimo ' m ta glara" etc. For his contributions, he was credited by George the first, king of Greece, by the Cross of the Saviour.[2]
