Louis-Simon-René Morin: was head of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation during World War II from 1940 to 1944, and was the first francophone to head of the CBC. He subsequently worked as a notary, and was mayor of Saint-Hyacinthe from 1915 to 1917. He was elected as MP for St. Hyacinthe—Rouville in 1921, and served till 1930. He later became head of the General Trust of Canada in 1927 and head of the Chambre des notaires du Québec from 1921 to 1924.

Albanie Morin: was a Canadian politician, who represented the electoral district of Louis-Hébert in the Canadian House of Commons from 1972 to 1976. Morin, Monique Bégin and Jeanne Sauvé, all elected in 1972, were the first women ever elected to the House of Commons from Quebec. A member of the Liberal Party, Morin first won the seat in the 1972 election, and was reelected in 1974. She held the seat until her death in 1976, and was succeeded by Dennis Dawson in a by-election held on May 24, 1977.

Georges Dorèze Morin: was a Liberal party member of the Canadian House of Commons. He was born in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec and became a notary. He was first elected to Parliament at the Bagot riding in a by-election on 7 December 1925. Morin was re-elected there in 1926.

Michel Morin: was a politician in Quebec, Canada and a three-term Member of the National Assembly of Quebec. He was born on March 27, 1948 in Saint-Célestin, Centre-du-Québec and made career in education. Before he ran for office, he was a political activist with the Progressive Conservative Party, the Bloc Québécois and the Parti Québécois. He was the protégé of politician Louis Plamondon. Morin successfully ran as the Parti Québécois candidate to the National Assembly of Quebec in the 1994 election in the district of Nicolet-Yamaska. He was re-elected in the 1989 and 1994 elections. In 1999, Morin was appointed parliamentary assistant, a position he held until 2001. He also served as his party's House Whip from 2001 to 2007. Morin did not run for re-election in the 2007 election.

Joseph Morin            Origin/Culture/Country: American

Joseph Morin: was a merchant, farmer and political figure in Quebec. He represented Charlevoix in the Legislative Assembly of Quebec from 1886 to 1897 and from 1900 to 1904 as a Liberal. He also served on the village council for Baie-Saint-Paul. Morin was defeated by Pierre D'Auteuil when he ran for reelection in 1897. He was governor for the prison at Quebec City from 1906 until his death in Quebec City at the age of 61. He was buried at Baie-Saint-Paul.
