Minoru Honda: was a Japanese astronomer.He discovered twelve comets between 1940 and 1968, including the periodic comet 45P/Honda-Mrkos-Pajdusakova.He was the first to report the very bright V1500 Cygni (Nova Cygni 1975) at magnitude 3.0 on August 29, 1975; it peaked at 2.0, and many hundreds of independent discoveries were subsequently made by others.The asteroid 3904 Honda is named after him, 8485 Satoru is named after his wife,and 11442 Seijin-Sanso is named after his astronomical observatory.[

Minoru Arakawa: was the founder and first president of Nintendo of America (NOA) from 1980 to 2002.Born in Kyoto, Japan, he attended Kyoto University and MIT. In 1972, he was hired by Japanese conglomerate Marubeni as part of their international staff, with the responsibility of helping to develop hotels, offices and condominiums overseas. He married the daughter of Nintendo president Hiroshi Yamauchi, Yoko Yamauchi but continued to work for Marubeni. He moved to Vancouver, and Yoko joined him there.

Minoru and his brother Akira have been listed on the Forbes list of the world's richest men. His largest project to date is the Roppongi Hills development in Tokyo which opened in 2003. Mori acknowledges the influence of Le Corbusier but believes he has surpassed the Swiss architect's urban designs, particularly in the Roppongi Hills project.

He is known for his low budget, absurdist comedy films.Kawasaki began his career with some self-financed films, including Iko the Earth Patrol Girl, and manga to live action adaptions, before working on Ultraman Tiga. He had his first hit with Calamari Wrestler, a film about a wrestler who becomes a large squid. He followed this up with Executive Koala, featuring a koala office worker who may have murdered his wife, Kabuto-O Beetle, another wrestling movie, this time with a giant stag beetle. In 2006, he released Everyone But Japan Sinks (a parody of Japan Sinks) and Crab Goalkeeper, a movie Kawasaki describes as being like Forrest Gump.
