Michio Takeyama: was a Japanese writer, literary critic and scholar of German literature, active in Showa period Japan.On returning home in 1932, Takeyama taught German language as a professor at First Higher School, and also translated works of German literature into Japanese. Among the works he translated were Goethe's An Anthology, Nietzsche's Thus Spake Zarathustra and Out of My Life and Thought: An Autobiography by Albert Schweitzer.

Michio Nishizawa: was a star player in Nippon Professional Baseball. He debuted with Nagoya at the age of 15 in 1936, the youngest player ever in the history of pro Yakyu. He achieved early fame as a pitcher, developing into a twenty game winner by 1939. His most memorable pitching feats occurred in 1942. On May 24 of that year, Nishizawa pitched a remarkable twenty-eight complete innings, totalling 311 pitches in a 4-4 tie against the Taiyo Whales at Korakuen Stadium. Later that year, he tossed his first and only no-hitter, accomplishing the feat against the Hankyu team. Despite a career Earned Run Average of 2.22, the heavy workload combined with injuries sustained during two years of service in World War II forced him to switch positions to first base, and later the outfield.
Michio Watanabe Origin/Culture/Country: Japanese
Michio Watanabe: was a Japanese political figure. He was born in Tochigi and graduated from the Tokyo College of Commerce (now Hitotsubashi University) in 1942. He worked as a reporter for the Yomiuri Shimbun, a certified tax accountant, and a member of Tochigi prefectural assembly before serving as a member of House of Representatives of Japan. He was Health Minister from 1976 to 1977, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (Japan) from 1978 to 1979, and Minister of Finance from 1980 to 1982. He served as Vice Prime Minister of Japan and Minister for Foreign Affairs from 1991 to 1993. He died from pancreatic cancer in 1995.

Michio Jimbo: a Japanese mathematician, currently a professor at the University of Tokyo. He is a grandson of the linguist Kaku Jimbo.After graduating from the University of Tokyo in 1974, he studied under Mikio Sato at the Research Institute for Mathematical Sciences in Kyoto University. He has made important contributions to mathematical physics, including (independently with Vladimir Drinfel'd) the discovery of quantum groups. In 1993 he won the Japan Academy Prize for this work.

Michio Suzuki: was a Japanese mathematician who studied group theory.He was a Professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 1953 to his death. He also had visiting positions at the University of Chicago (1960–61), the Institute for Advanced Study (1962–63, 1968–69, spring 1981), the University of Tokyo (spring 1971), and the University of Padua (1994). Suzuki received his Ph.D in 1952 from the University of Tokyo, despite having moved to the United States the previous year. He was the first to attack the Burnside conjecture, that every finite non-abelian simple group has even order.
