Michiel Schapers: is a former tennis player from The Netherlands, who turned professional in 1982. He represented his native country at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, where he was defeated in quarter finals by eventual winner Miloslav Mecir of Slovakia. The righthander reached his highest singles ATP-ranking on April 25, 1988, when he became the number 25 of the world. After his career Schapers became a tennis coach.
