Louis-Rodrigue Masson: was a Canadian Member of Parliament, Senator, and the fifth Lieutenant Governor of Quebec. He represented Terrebonne in the Canadian House of Commons from 1867 to 1882. From March to October 1884, he was a member of the Legislative Council of Quebec. From 1884 to 1887, he was the Lieutenant-Governor of Quebec. Joseph Masson: was Canadian businessman, who is considered the first French Canadian millionaire. Seigneur of Terrebonne, Quebec, president of Masson societies, president of the City Gas, he was also vice-president of the Banque de Montréal, president of the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Society of Montreal and member of the Legislative Council of Lower Canada. Masson was Member of the Legislative Council of Lower Canada from 1834 to 1838. He was also member of the Montreal City Council from December 1842. He was offered to become the Mayor of Montreal in December 1842, but he declined. He was militia captain from 1823, member of the Board of Trade of Montreal, first churchwarden of Notre-Dame parish and judge of the peace.

James Masson: was a lawyer and political figure in Ontario. He represented Grey North in the Canadian House of Commons from 1887 to 1896 as a Conservative member. In 1878, he married Jessie Morrison. Masson served as Master in Chancery at Owen Sound from 1873 to 1885. He was first elected to the House of Commons in the 1887 federal election, defeating the incumbent Benjamin Allen, and was reelected in 1891. He was named Queen's Counsel in 1885.

Paul-Timothée Masson: was a lumber merchant and political figure in Quebec. He represented Vaudreuil in the Legislative Assembly of Lower Canada from 1831 to 1834. Masson was elected to the legislative assembly in an 1831 by-election held after Godefroy Beaudet resigned his seat. He voted in support of the Ninety-Two Resolutions. Masson was defeated when he ran for reelection in 1834. He died at Saint-Charles-sur-Richelieu at the age of 85.
