Silvio Maric: is a retired Croatian footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. Maric began his professional career at Dinamo Zagreb in 1992. In the autumn of 1998, he appeared for Dinamo Zagreb in all of their six group matches in the UEFA Champions League and secured himself a move to English side Newcastle United in early 1999. He made his Premier League debut for Newcastle United on 10 March 1999 against Nottingham Forest, but never managed to establish himself as a regular at the club and, after making 23 Premier League appearances without scoring a goal, went on to move to Portuguese side Porto in 2000. Maric made his international debut for the Croatian national team on 30 April 1997 in their 1998 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Greece and managed to score his first international goal in his second cap against Bosnia and Herzegovina on 6 September 1997 in this same qualifying session. Between 1995 and 1997, he also made several appearances for the Croatian national under-21 team.

Enver Maric: is a former Bosnian football goalkeeper and now a successful coach. He started his playing career with FK Velež (1967–76), where he played a record 600 games in his 9-year stint. He then went on to play for German club Schalke 04 (1976–78)[1] and the Yugoslavia national football team at the 1974 FIFA World Cup. He was capped 32 times for Yugoslavia. He returned to the game as a goalkeeping coach coach to Velež 1987-90, Fortuna Düsseldorf 1993-1998 and Hertha BSC Berlin 2003-2010.

August Maric: was a Croatian soldier. In the April War he commanded a division of the Royal Yugoslav Army. He was the first chief-of-staff of the Croatian Home Guard when it was created in May 1941, but was removed from his post and retired that September, probably because the Ustaše leadership did not trust him. He was succeeded as chief-of-staff by Vladimir Laxa. Together with minister Mladen Lorkovic, Maric signed the treaty establishing the border between the Independent State of Croatia and the German Reich.
