Józef Cwierczakiewicz: was a Polish journalist, representative of Komitet Centralny Narodowy in West Prussia (Pomerania) in 1861-1863,[1] agent of Komitet Centralny Narodowy in England in 1862-1863.[2] After fail of January Uprising, he moved to Geneva and participate to League of Peace and Freedom;[2] he also became an emigration activist in France, Great Britain and Switzerland.[1]

Józef Pawlikowski: was a Polish noble (from an impoverished noble family) and political activist. One of the Polish Jacobins; secretary of Tadeusz Kosciuszko in 1795 in France. An independence activist in Congress Poland, he was arrested in 1826 and died in prison in 1828.

Józef Rymer: was a Polish and Silesian activist and politician.Before the First World War he was an activist in the Zjednoczenie Zawodowe Polskie (Polish Union of Unions), a Polish labor union organization in Imperial Germany (see also German partition). He was also a member of the Naczelna Rada Ludowa (pro-endecja) Polish political organization in Germany. He was the target of assaults and even an assassination by nationalist German extremists (Freikorps); eventually he became one of the leaders of the Silesian Uprisings. Elected to Polish parliament (Sejm) he also became the first voivode of the Autonomous Silesian Voivodeship in June 1922. In December that year he died of a stroke and was buried at Francuska Street Cemetery in Katowice.
