Irakli Alasania: is a Georgian politician and diplomat. He was Georgia’s Ambassador to the United Nations from September 11, 2006, until December 4, 2008. His previous assignments include Chairman of the Government of Abkhazia(-in-exile) and the President of Georgia’s aide in the Georgian-Abkhaz talks. Soon after his resignation, Alasania announced his withdrawal into opposition to the Mikheil Saakashvili administration.

Irakli Bagration-Mukhraneli: was a Georgian prince of the Mukhrani branch of the former royal dynasty of Bagrationi.The 1921 Red Army invasion of Georgia forced the family to leave Georgia. Educated in Germany, Prince Irakli then settled in Italy in the 1930s and married Maria Antonietta née Pasquini dei Conti di Costafiorita in 1940. Following her death in 1944, Irakli, with his infant son Giorgi, moved to Spain, where he naturalized and married Infanta Doña María de las Mercedes Raimunda (1911-1953), a niece of Alfonso XIII of Spain, in 1946.

Now he is head of the Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation.1996 he started working for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London as an analyst. In 2003 he became a banker for ABN AMRO in Moscow. In September 2004 he became the deputy chairman of the Enterprise Management Agency of Georgia. In 2005 Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili appointed him Minister of Economic Development of Georgia.
