Frans Bouwmeester: a retired Dutch footballer who was active as a left winger and who is currently head scout at Feyenoord Rotterdam.Bouwmeester started his career in his town of birth, Breda where he played for NAC. After three seasons at this team he made a switch towards Feijenoord. This turned out to be the most successful period in his career. In both 1961 and 1962 Feijenoord took the Eredivisie Championship. In 1965 Bouwmeester and Feijenoord won both the league and the KNVB Cup.

Frans Thijssen: a former Dutch international footballer. He started his professional career in 1970 with NEC Nijmegen. In 1973 he moved to FC Twente, where the midfielder played for nearly six seasons.Thijssen won fourteen caps for Holland and played in England for Nottingham Forest and Ipswich Town, with whom he won the UEFA Cup in 1981. He also had a stint in the NASL with the Vancouver Whitecaps. In 1984 he returned to his native country, to play for Fortuna Sittard (1984-1987), FC Groningen (1987-1988) and Vitesse Arnhem (1988-1991).After his active career he became a football manager. In 1995 he became manager for the Swedish club Malmö FF. A third place in the Swedish Allsvenska 1996 season was the best position he could manage during the four years he spent at Malmö FF

Frans Wilhelm Lindqvist: was a Swedish inventor. He designed the first sootless kerosene stove, operated by compressed air. He started a company, Primus, to manufacture and sell the Primus stove.Lindqvist started selling his stove on a small-scale basis, but the business soon grew. The product and the company were dubbed Primus. Together with a companion, Johan Victor Svensson, Lindqvist started industrial production in 1892. With the help of marketing firm B.A. Hjorth & Co sales grew, and soon the Primus stove was exported abroad. In the 1910s, more than half a million stoves were made annually. In 1930, more than 500 people worked at the Primus factory, on the Stockholm island Lilla Essingen. Among them were Per Albin Hansson, future Prime Minister of Sweden.
