Dimitar Todorov Dimov: was a Bulgarian dramatist, novelist, and veterinary surgeon.Born in Lovech, he is best known for his best-selling novel Tobacco (Bulgarian: ?????, translit. Tyutyun), which was made into the 1962 film Tobacco, directed by Nikola Korabov. Dimov was forced to revise Tobacco to make it acceptable from the viewpoint of socialist realism by adding Communists and working-class characters.

Dimitar Janakiew Inkiow: was a Bulgarian writer.He studied mining engineering and later in Sofa's Drama Academy, where he was graduated as drama director. He wrote several theatrical plays before having to leave the country in 1965 for problems he had with the government. He moved to Germany (Munich) until 1991 and was script writer for Radio freies Europa (Radio Free Europe) in Munich.

He was expelled from the Bulgarian Writers' Union and from 1948 to 1952 he was exiled in Lukovit.
