Branny Schepanovich: was an Alberta lawyer and former politician.He was a director of Air Canada from 1982-1985. Prior to practicing law, he worked as a Reporter for the Edmonton Journal in the summer of 1960, and as a reporter, news editor, managing editor, and editor-in-chief for the University of Alberta's Gateway from 1960-1964. He also worked summers as a news editor and reporter for CBC Television and CBC Radio from 1962-1966. Branny was President of the University of Alberta Students' Union from 1966-1967. He was a member of the Senate at the University of Alberta from 1966-1967. He was a Member of the University of Alberta Liberal Club from 1960-1967.

Erik Brann: was a guitarist with the 1960s heavy metal band Iron Butterfly. He is featured on the band's greatest hit, the legendary 17-minute piece In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida (1968), recorded when he was just 17. A Boston, Massachusetts native and a brilliant violinist, Brann was accepted as a child into the prodigy program at the Boston Symphony Orchestra, but was soon lured away to become a rock guitarist, joining Iron Butterfly at 16.

George Brann: was an English amateur cricketer and footballer who had a long career with Sussex County Cricket Club at the end of the 19th century, and played three matches for the England national football team. He made his first appearance for them in a 3–1 defeat against Preston North End on 28 November 1885. He made his debut for Sussex against Hampshire in May 1883 although he made little impact scoring a duck as Sussex won by an innings and 42 runs but his career really began in 1885. In his first-class career, he scored a total of 11,205 runs at an average of 25.69, including twenty-five centuries for Sussex. Standing nearly six feet tall, he was also a fine fielder taking 145 catches during his career; as a fast bowler he claimed 69 wickets at an average of 44.31. After retiring from cricket he became a good golfer and was secretary to the Home Park Golf Club in Surbiton for twenty years.
