Antero Manninen: He was an official member but did not write the music and left in 1999 due to prior commitments, although he has come back to help the band because they are currently short one member. Besides his job in Apocalyptica he used to work as a musician in a Tapiola Sinfonietta Avanti! and Finnish Radio Symphonyorchestra and once (1 time) in the orchestra of the Finnish National Opera. He is also one of the founders of Sibelius-AcademyÆs Cellosekstet (SSS). Antero has been performing also at funerals. Currently he is a member of the Lahti Orchestra.[1]

Antero Niittymäki: a Finnish professional ice hockey goaltender who plays for the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League (NHL). He has previously played in the SM-liiga and and the American Hockey League. He was the first goalie to score an overtime goal in North American pro-hockey history. At the 2006 Winter Olympics, while playing for team Finland, he was voted the MVP of the entire ice hockey tournament.

He continued his studies in Lahti Finland (1967–1969), but only while studying in Stockholm (1970–71), in Royal Swedish Academy of Arts, he found, as a prinmaker, his artistcally and technically completed style of making his prints.
