He has stated his desire to teach and give training to youngsters in China via an online classroom network.[3] He lives in Beijing.

In June 2009, Haochen Zhang became the youngest and the first Chinese competitor to be awarded the prestigious Nancy Lee and Perry R. Bass Gold Medal at the Thirteenth Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. As part of his prize package, Haochen Zhang received commission-free artist management from the Van Cliburn Foundation for three seasons following the competition. Immediately after his Gold Medal win, Haochen Zhang embarked on an extensive three-year tour across the United States and abroad.

Jun Zhang: is a Chinese economist and Cheung Kong Professor of Economics at Fudan University. He is the Director of China Center for Economics Studies at Fudan University. Jun received his doctorate from economics from Fudan University, and completed post-doctoral fellowships in the United States at Washington State University, and in Britain at the University of Sussex. After these studies, he held visiting professorships at a number of universities worldwide, including the London School of Economics, the School of Oriental and African Studies of the University of London, Harvard University, Yale University, University of Aarhus and Tokyo Metropolitan University. Jun's principal academic fields involve Chinese economic reform, and development economics.
