Anthony Way: Garnon was in attendance at the Welsh-medium primary school, Ysgol y Ferch O'r SgOr (Lady of Sker School) in North Cornelly, near Bridgend until 1994. He attended Welsh language comprehensive school Ysgol Gyfun Llanhari for a short time but was soon to join friends in Porthcawl Comprehensive School. As a member of the local children's theatre group, Vagabonds, Garnon took on many cameo roles. However, under the guidance of Roger Burnell, head of drama at Porthcawl Comprehensive School, Garnon soon gained confidence. At Porthcawl he quickly began to realise that acting, singing and dancing were areas in which he excelled.
