Pirjo Honkasalo: is a Finnish film-maker. Although she has written and directed over a dozen films, Honkasalo is also an accomplished cinematographer, film editor, producer and actor. For her work in the film industry, Honkasalo has been recognized by winning 19 major film awards while being nominated for six more. She co-directed Flame Top with Pekka Lehto and the film was chosen for the 1981 Cannes Film Festival.[1]

Pirjo Muranen: is a Finnish cross country skier who has competed since 1998. She won a bronze medal in the 4 x 5 km relay at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Muranen won five medals at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships with three golds (Individual sprint: 2001, 4 x 5 km: 2007, 2009), a silver (Team sprint: 2005, with Riitta Liisa Lassila), and a bronze (Individual sprint: 2009). She married on 30 June 2007; previously known by her maiden name of Pirjo Manninen.

Pirjo Seppä: is a Finnish orienteering competitor and World Champion. She participated on the Finnish winning team in the 1972 World Orienteering Championships.[1] She also has an Individual silver medal from 1972, and a bronze medal from the 1968 Team World Championships.
