Manuel Neri: an American sculptor, painter, and printmaker and a notable member of the "second generation" of the Bay Area Figurative Movement.In the late 1950s, he was a member of the artist-run cooperative gallery, the Six Gallery, along with Joan Brown, Bruce Conner, and Jay DeFeo. In 1959, Neri became an original member of Bruce Conner's Rat Bastard Protective Association. [1]Neri taught sculpture and ceramics at California School of Fine Arts from 1959–1965 and was on the faculty of the University of California, Davis from 1965-1999. [2]

Ruby Rose Neri: is a sculptor, painter, and former street artist from San Francisco and Los Angeles, California, known for her evocative portrayal of horses.Meanwhile, she also had a parallel career as a gallery artist and muralist, receiving a BFA in painting from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1994.[5] Her painting during this time is described as being influenced by Nicole Eisenmann, Raymond Pettibon, and Mike Kelley.[6] During this time, Neri contributed mural work to such sites as the Clarion Alley Mural Project and the Redstone Building.[7][8] A founding member of what later came to be known as the Mission School,[9] she was a close collaborator with other notable graffiti artists such as Twist and KR, as well as Mission School painter Alicia McCarthy.[9][10]
