Jerzy Zulawski: was a Polish literary figure, philosopher, translator, alpinist and nationalist whose best-known work is the science fiction epic Trylogia Ksiezycowa (The Lunar Trilogy) written between 1901 and 1911.The earliest publication bearing Jerzy Zulawski's name was also written in Berne. Dispatched to a Kraków publishing concern, the slim collection entitled Na strunach duszy (On the Strings of the Soul) was offered to the public in 1895. While a volume of Polish-language poetry in German-speaking Berne did not make much of an impact, the young author did receive moderate praise from the few Polish press organs that reviewed it. A decade later, at the height of Zulawski's brief fame, it came to be viewed as an experimental work, not truly representative of his real ability.

Jerzy S. Kenar: is a Polish-American sculptor in the United States. Kenar works in wood, bronze as well as in an Acrylic-based composite.he left Poland permanently in 1973 for Sweden. In 1979 he emigrated to the United States, where in 1980 he opened up the Wooden Gallery in Chicago, currently a cultural hub for Chicago's Polonia, hosting many exhibits, shows and hosting meetings with many famous figures. His career took off in the mid 1990s with his works decorating Chicago's O'Hare Airport which houses a number of his pieces, as well as the Harold Washington Library. He also has done work for a number of churches in the Chicago area, such as the interior design for St. Constance in Jefferson Park[1], wooden artwork for St. Kevin in South Deering[1], as well as the 'Millennium Doors' for one of Chicago's 'Polish Cathedrals', Holy Trinity Polish Mission. He is also a generous patron of Chicago's art scene.
