In her early years she lived in the Danish town of Vordingborg, but moved with her family to Brovst, which is situated in the northern part of Jutland. It was from here, she began her footballing-career with the Danish top-flight club Fortuna Hjørring, in their youth-teams. In 2004 se was given her debut in the best Danish league - Elitedivisionen.

In 2011 she was appointed Norwegian ambassador to Pakistan.
