Benjamin Joseph Sheppard: was an Australian sportsman who played first-class cricket for Victoria and Australian rules football with Melbourne and Richmond in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Sheppard started out as a footballer at Xavier College before being recruited by Melbourne. He played four senior games with Melbourne in the 1911 VFL season and one for Richmond in 1912. In 1914 he appeared in two first-class cricket matches for Victoria during a tour of Tasmania. A wicket-keeper, his highest score was 30, which he made at Launceston.

Benjamin William Hilfenhaus: is an Australian cricketer who plays for the Tasmanian Tigers in Australian domestic cricket. He is Ricky Ponting's second cousin. Hilfenhaus plays club cricket for Tasmania University Cricket Club. Prior to turning fully professional, he worked as a bricklayer as well as playing cricket. He is right-arm fast-medium bowler known for his ability to swing the ball. He has best bowling figures of 7/58. Hilfenhaus made his International début in a Twenty20 international for Australia against England at the Sydney Cricket Ground on 9 January 2007. He bowled four overs and took two wickets for 16 runs. This was followed up by selection in the one-day team for the One Day International on 14 January against New Zealand at Bellerive Oval, his state team's home ground. He took his first ODI wicket (Brendon McCullum) in his second over. Hilfenhaus has missed out on playing in the Australian Cricket Team on so many different occasions but most recently named in the 13 man squad to play in the 2nd 3 Mobile Test at the MCG against The South African Cricket Team 08/09 Season. He flew to Melbourne to spend Christmas Day with The Australian Cricket Team but didn't get in the team so he flew back to Tasmania for Boxing Day. He is an avid golfer with an eight handicap and was Mr September in the McGrath Foundation's 2009 Men Of Cricket calendar.
