Geno Marcellus Carlisle: is an American professional basketball player. The 6' 3", 200-lb. point guard has played in Venezuela, Italy, Spain, Greece, Kuwait, the American Basketball Association and Continental Basketball Association.He was named to the All-Big Ten First Team after the season, but the team's overall record during his two seasons was 12-42. After starting as the Wildcats point guard for two seasons, he left the school to transfer to the University of California, Berkeley.

After graduating from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 1977, Auriemma was hired as an assistant coach at Saint Joseph's University, where he worked in 1978 and 1979. After a two-year absence from college basketball, Auriemma, in 1981, assumed an assistant coaching position with the University of Virginia Cavaliers. Auriemma became a naturalized United States citizen in 1994, noting in his
