Doru Davidovici: was an aviator and writer. Born in Romania in a Jewish family, Doru Davidovici became one of the most loved Romanian fiction writers in the 1980s. During the communist years, his books gave an unusual sense of liberty and new horizons by describing the experience of flying, and the closeness it forged - both between pilots, and between pilots and their machines. The plane is seen by Davidovici not simply as a machine that enables one to fly but as an actual character, with its own personality and almost with its own soul. His work is influenced by writers like Ray Bradbury, Radu Tudoran and Bertold Brecht. The titles include The Horses of Voronet (1974), The Colour of the Sky (1981), Silver Wings (1983) and Rise and Walk (1989).

Dorus De Vries: a Dutch football goalkeeper who currently plays for Swansea City.de Vries started his career at Stormvogels Telstar. In 2003 he transferred to ADO Den Haag. After some mistakes by the first choice keeper Roland Jansen, he took over the position of number one goalkeeper. In 2006 ADO Den Haag told de Vries that he would not be awarded a new contract and was free to find a new club.In the summer of 2006, following a successful trial, he signed a contract with Dunfermline Athletic in Scotland.On May 11, 2007, he palmed a tame free kick into his own net against Inverness to end Dunfermline's 7-year stint in the Scottish Premier League.
