Zang Toi: is a New York based Malaysian fashion designer. He was born in Kelantan of the Kuala Krai district on 11 June 1961. Toi left his native Malaysia at the age of eighteen, and via Toronto, landed in New York a year later. There he attended Parsons School of Design and apprenticed with Mary Jane Marcasiano and Ronaldus Shamask. In 1989, with a modest collection of bright sarongs, strong suits and regal dresses, he opened his own atelier. Instantly, the personable, affable and remarkable Toi made a name for himself among fashion’s elite.

With the outbreak of the Second Sino-Japanese War, Zang did cultural propaganda work for the army, and collections of his were published as well as volumes of army poetry. After the war, he was involved in editorial activities and published his first collection of short stories and prose. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he held several important positions, among them as chief editor of Poetry magazine. He also co-edited the "Selected Poems of Chairman Mao" with Zhou Zhenfu.

Zang Jialiang: is an internationally elite curler who trains out of Harbin, China. He made his world championship debut at the 2008 Grand Forks World Championships. Team China achieved their best result to date. In the round robin portion they achieved upset wins over Team Canada and Team Norway. They would finish in third after the round robin and for the first time a men's team from the Pacific region would qualify for the Playoffs. In the 3 vs. 4 Playoff match, they lost to Team Norway, and again in the Bronze Medal Match. Team China was less successful at the 2009 Moncton World Championships, where it placed ninth overall.
