Mangal Singh Champia: an Indian archer, who won the bronze medal in the team competition at the 2006 Asian Games. Champia is sponsored by Mittal Sports Trust.At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing Champia finished his ranking round with a total of 678 points, just one point behind Juan René Serrano and equal with Viktor Ruban and scoring more bull's eyes than Serrano. This gave him the second seed for the final competition bracket in which he faced Hojjatollah Vaezi in the first round, beating the Iranian 112-98. In the second round Champia faced 31st seed Bair Badënov, but was unable to beat the Russian who won with 109-108. Badënov went on to win the bronze medal.[1]

Nowroz Mangal: is a right-handed batsman who bowls off break. Mangal plays for and captains the Afghanistan national cricket team. Born in Kabul, Afghanistan, Mangal spent much of his early years in Refugee camps with his family, fleeing from the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan and the subsequent Civil War that followed the Soviet withdrawal. Mangal, like many of his fellow teammates learnt the game in neighbouring Pakistan. Mangal made his debut for Afghanistan against Nowshehra in the 2001 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy (Grade II). Mangal made his international debut for Afghanistan against Oman in the 2004 ACC Trophy. During the tournament, Mangal was Afghanistan's leading run scorer with 271 runs. Mangal led the Afghan cricket team that in under a year won the World Cricket League Division Five, Division Four and Division Three, therefore promoting them to Division Two and allowing them to take part in the 2009 ICC World Cup Qualifier.
