Hari Dev Shourie: was a well known consumer activist in India.Hari Dev Shourie was born in Lahore in undivided India in 1911. He has also served in the Indian Civil Services. He served as Director General at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. He edited the magazine on Consumer rights "Common Cause", which he started even before Indian people were aware of the concept of Consumer rights. He fought a number of Public Interest Litigations, many of which resulted in Landmark Judgements by the Supreme Court of India.

Hari Chand: one of the few great distance runners that India has produced. In the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, he came 8th in the 10,000 metre run with a time of 28:48.72, this however was a national record for an Indian athlete and was only beaten 32 years later by Surendra Singh[1]. In the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow he came 10th in the 10,000 metre run. He also came 22nd in the 1980 Olympic Men's Marathon. [2]

Hari Khadka: a Nepalese football player.Hari Khadka started playing at Ranipokhari Corner Team in 1994, where he stayed for two seasons before joining Indian side Tollygunge Agragami Kolkata. After playing at another two stations in India and Bangladesh, in 1999 he went to play for Atlante, a Mexican first league club. This was quite an unusual step for a Nepalese player, even though Khadka did not play much at this and his second Mexican team before going back to India in 2000. He's currently playing for Nepalese Mahendra Police Club in his home country after another two stations in India and Bangladesh.
