Hamish Mackie French: is a former Scottish footballer who is currently head of youth development at Dunfermline Athletic.He later went on to play for Dunfermline Athletic between 1991 and 2000 before finishing his career with spells at Alloa Athletic and Cowdenbeath. He is most fondly remembered by Dunfermline fans for his partnership with Ivo Den Bieman. Fans nicknamed this partnership 'Fish & Chips' because you couldn't think of one without the other. In a 2004 interview, French described the day when Den Bieman was released by the Pars as "the worst day of my life".

At one time he was Dundee United's regular penalty taker, netting three times from the spot in League matches.
