Azam Khan: a famous Bangladeshi (Bengali) pop singer. He was the pioneer in Bengali pop music launching and founded a band called "Uchcharon" with a literal meaning of "Enunciation" in the early 1970s [1]. He was an independence fighter who fought against the Pakistani army in the Liberation war of Bangladesh in 1971 [2]. After the war, he introduced an energetic brand of music. His first concert in television was broadcast in 1972 in Bangladesh Television.
