Abul Mansur Ahmed: was a Bangladeshi littérateur. Was also a politician and journalist. He was born in Mymensingh.Renowned journalist and editor of The Daily Star Mr Mahfuz Anam is his son.He passed the Matriculation Examination in 1917 and the Intermediate in 1919. This was a time when the Khilafat and Non-cooperation (Osohojog) movements were attracting the Muslim educated class. Abul Mansur Ahmed got involved in these movements. He was born in the village of Kashiara in Burdwan district of West Bengal.Hashim graduated from Burdwan Raj College in 1928 and earned a law degree in 1931. He took part in the election to the Bengal Legislative Council in 1936, and participated in the All India Muslim League conference At Allahabad in 1938. Abul Kalam Shamsuddin: was a journalist, politician and littérateur. He was born at Trishal of Mymensingh.Shamsuddin first came to politics after the Jallianwalla Bagh Massacre in Punjab. He was inspired by Mahatma Gandhi and joined the Indian National Congress. In 1927 he joined the Muslim League. He also took part in the Pakistan Movement after becoming the president of East Pakistan Renaissance Society. He also was the chairman of the Reception Committee of the Renaissance Society Summit at Kolkata in 1944.[1] In 1946 he was elected he was elected to the Central Legislative Council. Shamsuddin became a member of Language Committee of East Pakistan Government in 1949.

Abul Wafa Buzjani: was a Persian mathematician and astronomer. He was born in Buzhgan, (now Torbat-e Jam) in Iran.In 959 AD, he moved to Iraq. He studied mathematics and worked principally in the field of trigonometry. He wrote a number of books, most of which no longer exist. He also studied the movements of the moon. The crater Abul Wáfa on the Moon is named after him.He devised a wall quadrant for the accurate astronomy measurement of the declination of stars. He also introduced the tangent function and improved methods of calculating trigonometry tables and developed novel ways of solving some problems of spherical triangles.
