Koco Racin: was a Macedonian poet who is considered a founder of modern Macedonian literature.On observing the social injustice of work and the workplace he came to the conclusion that those who work hardest gain least. He joined the workers' movement and became a member of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia (KPJ). Before long he was one of the most prominent Communists in the Republic of Macedonia in the period between the two world wars. In 1928 Racin participated at the Fourth Congress of the KPJ in Dresden as the only delegate from Macedonia. In the second half of 1933 he became a member of the Land Committee of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia for Macedonia. In the beginning of 1934 he was captured by the police and imprisoned in Sremska Mitrovica for nearly two years.

Jean-Paul Racine: was a Liberal party member of the Canadian House of Commons. He was born in Saint-Honoré-de-Shenley, Quebec and became a lumber merchant and manufacturer by career.He was first elected at the Beauce riding in the 1958 general election and served one term before being defeated there in 1962 by Gérard Perron of the Social Credit party. Racine was again defeated by Perron in 1963 but won the seat back in 1965 for one final Parliamentary term. In the 1968 election, Racine lost the seat to another Social Credit candidate, Romuald Rodrigue.

Francisco Javier Martínez De Zaldúa Y Racines: was a Colombian, lawyer and politician, elected President of Colombia in 1882. Zaldúa initiated his political career by being elected to the City Council of Bogotá. In 1840 he was elected to the House of Representatives and, later to the Senate, both in representation of his native state of Cundinamarca. He was also appointed as Minister of Government during the administration of President José Hilario López.
