Melvin Emery "Mel" Patton: is an American track and field athlete, who won two gold medals at the 1948 Summer Olympics.Patton won the NCAA 100 yd (91 m) dash title in 1947 and in 1948 and 1949 completed the 100 and 220 yd (91 and 201 m) sprint double at that same meet. In 1947, he tied the 100 yd (91 m) dash world record of 9.4, then lowered it to 9.3 the following year. In 1949, he set a 220 yd (201 m) world record on a straightaway of 20.2, breaking a Jesse Owens record.

George Smith Patton: was a Major General in the United States Army and the son of World War II General George Patton.A 1946 graduate of West Point Patton was initially trained as an infantryman. His first assignment was to Regensburg, West Germany where he participated in the 1948 Berlin Airlift. He and the troops under his command were utilized to load supplies onto Air Force transport aircraft bound for Berlin. In 1952, a year after he returned from Germany, he married Joanne Holbrook. Patton served in Korea starting in July 1953, commanding "A" Company of the 140th Tank Battalion, 40th Infantry Division. Patton received his first Silver Star and the Purple Heart in Korea.

The casting director had seen Dylan’s pictures and resume on a website and wanted him to read for a part in the pilot. After six callbacks Dylan landed the role of Dakota Manning in “Our Family”. Although the pilot was not picked up, it gave Dylan his first real experience in front of the camera. At the beginning of 2003, he won the role of Clay Thomas in Crab Orchard (2004), a post 9/11 drama co-starring Ed Asner and Judge Reinhold. The film was featured at the Sante Fe Film Festival in July 2005 and won finalist and the gold directors award at the International Family Film Festival
