James McKay: was a lawyer, judge and political figure in Saskatchewan, Canada. He represented Prince Albert in the Canadian House of Commons from 1911 to 1914 as a Conservative. McKay was an unsuccessful candidate for the Saskatchewan (Provisional District) seat in the House of Commons in 1896, losing to Wilfrid Laurier, and also ran unsuccessfully in Prince Albert in 1908 before taking the seat in the 1911 federal election. McKay resigned his seat in the House of Commons in 1914 after he was named to the Supreme Court of Saskatchewan. In 1918, he was named to the Court of King's Bench and, in 1921, to the Court of Appeal for Saskatchewan. McKay also served on the board of governors for the University of Saskatchewan.

John Norman McKay: is a lawyer and a Canadian politician. He is the Liberal Member of Parliament for the riding of Scarborough—Guildwood. McKay was formerly the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Finance while the Liberal party governed, but now serves as an opposition MP. Having served as Parliamentary Secretary to a cabinet minister McKay carries the designations of Honourable and Privy Council (PC) for life. After practising private law he was elected to represent Scarborough East in 1997 and was re-elected in 2000. After Scarborough East was abolished in 2003 he was elected to represent the riding of Scarborough—Guildwood in 2004. McKay was re-elected in the 2006, 2008 and 2011 federal elections.

William McKay: was a physician and political figure in Nova Scotia, Canada. He represented Cape Breton County in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly from 1886 to 1890 and from 1894 to 1897 as a Conservative member and sat for Cape Breton division in the Senate of Canada from 1912 to 1915. He was president of the Cape Breton Medical Society and served on the Board of Health. He also served as physician for several coal mines in Cape Breton. McKay was an unsuccessful candidate for a seat in the House of Commons in 1904.
